me

My Story

I am Martin Koch, the founder of Trust.edMA and a transformation leader with over 30 years of international experience across Retail, Downstream, Lubricants, Refining, Chemicals, and Renewables. I've lived and worked across Europe, North America, and Asia, leading global programs in environments ranging from greenfield GBS setups to complex legacy shared service transformations.

 

My work spans the full lifecycle of transformation: From strategy design and process modelling to transition execution, digital enablement, and embedding new operating models. I'm known for linking strategic design with operational execution, turning abstract models into high-impact delivery.​

I design integrated operating models that separate strategic, high-value activities from scalable, digitally enabled services in GBS-with clear roles, service governance, and embedded workflows.

My focus includes Order-to-Cash (O2C), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R), built on SAP & S/4HANA foundations, and powered by robust Business Process Management (BPM). In S2P, I bring hands-on experience with Coupa and Ariba, ensuring sourcing, buying, and supplier performance processes are digitally enabled, controlled, and insight-driven.​ In Customer Service, I focus on customer journey design, linking service operations with digital strategy, integrated CRM, and portal solutions to enable frictionless and scalable service delivery.

I founded Trust.ed to help organisations not only build new GBS models, but also to unlock value from existing Shared Service Centers by transforming them into true business enablers, not just transactional engines.

What sets me apart is the ability to drive end-to-end transformation: From strategic design through to execution and operationalisation.

 

That includes the hard yards of transition planning, works council consultation at European and local levels, and embedding new ways of working into the line organisation.

I bring a process-first, people-smart transformation style, grounded in operational reality and built for sustainability.

I work across hybrid delivery models, combining internal teams, GBS organisations, and BPO partners - with hands-on experience in transition execution, contract structuring, and global process ownership.

My background further includes internal audit, providing a strong foundation in risk, control, and compliance and ensuring that GBS models are not only efficient, but robust and auditable.

​

I help also organisations move beyond lift-and-shift to globally integrated services, enabled by shared platforms, Centers of Excellence, Business Process Management disciplines, and mature operating models.
